The story of newly hired division president Colin Jensen and his investigation into unexplained performance problems in the shipping department of the TruePhase Chemicals division.  The story is set in Indianapolis during a blizzard, and takes its inspiration from the television series "Undercover Boss."

After only a few hours on the shop floor, Colin finds that rather than the friendly, hard-working employees seen on the television show he is faces with a den of vipers.  Cronyism, physical violence -- both real and threatened, and several suspicious products tell him there is something terribly wrong at TruePhase.

When Colin sends Financial Analyst Sandy Martin in search of information, he inadvertently exposes her to terrible risks.

And then he faces a few, himself.

As always, there are a few plot twists that will surprise and entertain the reader.
